Immediately, I started to look over the content, sections, pics... etc and I must say that the book is much better than I expected. Impressive work, Francesco. Congratulations. (*). simmsimaging - Just a quick note to say thanks; this book has already been a huge help for me on my current project. Already totally happy and feel it was money well spent.

(*). Macho3001 - fan-tas-tic book this ! I pre-ordered it (English), got it a few days back. Can't put it down !! the book contains all ( & I mean ALL !) possible permutations settings for all settings and variables in V-ray discussed with FULL COLOR illustrations of tests done by the author, so its great for advanced/ experienced users to keep as a ready referencer & guide right next to their system while rendering. Now there's no need to fiddle around with/test what a particular change to a particular setting will result in & waste valuable time. A definite buy this...

(*). BrianKitts - It's frigging huge! I'm definitely impressed, I could have used this book a couple of years ago! I really like how it gives a ton of rendered images with various settings for every option in the engine, saves A LOT of time to test render and figure out which direction you need to be going.... being able to see how one button changed 10 different ways looks right away is great. I might have expected showing only 2 or 3 variations.... well done. great resource, I already informed that company librarian that this one will be permanently residing on my desk and anyone who wants can check it out from me!!

It's finally possible buy the book " VRay 1.5 - LA GUIDA COMPLETA - seconda edizione" in Italian language. It's also avaible FOR ALL VRay users the English version "VRay - THE COMPLETE GUIDE". From 19-12-2008 to 06-01-2009 we can't delivery any books. This is, obviously, due to the Christmas holiday and because our couriers will reduce his staff for the same reason. Anyway, if you want, you can order and pay as usual. At the 07-01-2009 we will open the shop and the delivery will start again.

E' finalmente possibile ordinare ed acquistare la seconda edizione del libro "VRay 1.5 - LA GUIDA COMPLETA - seconda edizione". E' anche disponibile PER TUTTI gli utenti le versione in inglese "VRay - THE COMPLETE GUIDE" . Per via delle festività natalizie, della riduzione del personale delle società di spedizioni, per l'elevato numeri di pacchi spediti a livello mondiale e per evitare quindi problemi di consegna, dal 19 di dicembre 2008 fino al 6 di gennaio 2009 le spedizioni saranno sospese. Dal 7 gennaio 2009 il tutto sarà ripristinato come sempre. Sarà comunque possibile ordinare ed acquistare il libro. Ciò non subirà interruzioni di nessun tipo, a meno di diverse disposizioni delle rispettive banche o società di credito.

I'm very happy to show you the very, first copies of the VRay - THE COMPLETE GUIDE English version. This is the fresh and bound printed version the I brought with me to the View Festival in Turin. Also the print step is finished. The boind and packaging stage is in WIP. More photo here.

In Sardinia will be the first Italian course dedicated to VRay. VRay - THE COMPLETE GUIDE will be the basic book for students. I participate as an external. Classes will be held by the teacher Gianni Mielis. The courses will be held at the beginning of 2009. For more info click this LINK.

I'm very happy to announce the second edition of the book VRay 1.5 - LA GUIDA COMPLETA - seconda edizione in italian language. This edition has been corrected by all lexical and grammatical errors and it will include the upgrading to VRay SP2, that is currently available only in digital form.

Prima di tutto un grazie a tutti coloro che hanno contribuito all'enorme successo della Guida. Dagli utenti che per primi hanno creduto in questo prodotto fino alle persone che fisicamente mi hanno aiutato al suo concreto sviluppo. Non avrei mai pensato ad un così grande successo ed è stato completamente inaspettato. Siamo qiundi alla seconda edizione del nostro libro, VRay 1.5 - LA GUIDA COMPLETA - seconda edizione. Attualmente è in fase di produzione e vedrà la luce presumibilmente attorno al 20 di novembre, in concomitanza con l'uscita della versione in inglese (giorno più, giorno meno). Questo seconda versione è stata interamente corretta da cima a fondo e avrà integrato l'aggiornamento al SP2. La sua distribuzione avverrà tra circa 30 giorni, in contemporanea (giorno più giorno meno) con l'uscita della versione in inglese.

Per quel che riguarda l'ordine, rimarranno attivi. In questo modo sarà inviata una risposta automatica con tutte le istruzioni del caso. Anche i pagamenti possono essere tranquillamente effettuati. Quindi, chi acquisterà la Guida in questo periodo di transizione, riceverà tra circa un mese le prime copie della seconda edizione. Dopodichè le spedizioni riprenderanno il normale corso. The english translation of the book is almost finished. 95% is done and layout. There are still some production and commercial question to solve. It is assumed therefore that its sales will begin in October. In the meantime, i put online the summary and one free sample.

La traduzione del libro nella versione in inglese è quasi terminata. Il 95% del libro è stato tradotto ed impaginato. Ci sono però ancora alcune operazioni di carattere commerciale e produttivo da trattare. Si ipotizza perciò che la sua vendita inizierà nel mese di ottobre. Nel frattempo sono stati messi online sia il sommario che alcune pagine dimostrative, sempre in inglese.

(*). flash (Geometrician) - A very thorough guide and rich in very helpful explanatory illustrations, the inclusion of renders and commad screenshots is extremely useful, the comparison between different possibilities (often shown alongside each other so that one can immediately see the difference), and there is also much to be said for your personal suggestions supported by your own vast personal experience! I thank you for the great effort. Well done.

(*). falcon76 (Draughtsman) - Congratulations for real. This is one of “THE ONLY” computer books (and man have I read a lot of them) which you can read without sitting glued to the seat in front of the computer, because it has so many pictures which explain everything. I am also really surprised that the book is not just a bunch of broken-down tutorials, but a real and complete guide which teaches what ALL the parameters actually do. Sometimes even “bibles” don’t get that far.

(*). Karonte (Designer) - The guide arrived in record time. Although I must say I know VRay pretty well, the book (or rather BIBLE) is a well-worthy purchase. It is a MUST for anyone exploiting this engine to its full potential. Both for beginners and experts and whoever wants to have a proper organization of all information.

(*). flash (Geometra) - Una guida veramente scrupolosa e ricca d'illustrazioni molto esplicative, utilissima l'integrazione di rendering e screenshot dei comandi, ottimi i confronti diretti fra diverse possibilità (spesso messe una a fianco dell'altra per raffronti immediati), e poi che dire dei tuoi suggerimenti personali supportati dalla tua grande esperienza! Ti ringrazio anch'io per il grande sforzo compiuto. Bravo.

(*). falcon76 (Disegnatore) - Veramente complimenti. E' uno degli "UNICI" libri di informatica (e ne ho letti VERAMENTE tanti) che puoi seguire senza stare per forza davanti al computer grazie alle innumerevoli immagini esplicative. Sono anche veramente sorpreso del fatto che il libro non e' un insieme destrutturato di tutorial, ma una vera guida onnicomprensiva che ti permette veramente di capire cosa significano TUTTI i parametri del programma. A volte anche le "bibbie" non riescono in questo intento.

(*). Karonte (Designer) - La guida è arrivata a tempi record. Anche se VRay posso dire di conoscerlo abbastanza, il libro (o meglio BIBBIA) è un acquisto dovuto. E' proprio un MUST per chi utilizza al 100% questo motore di render. Sia per il principiante sia per chi è esperto e vuole avere una riorganizzazione di tutte le informazioni.
