(*). Macho3001 - fan-tas-tic book this ! I pre-ordered it (English), got it a few days back. Can't put it down !! the book contains all ( & I mean ALL !) possible permutations settings for all settings and variables in V-ray discussed with FULL COLOR illustrations of tests done by the author, so its great for advanced/ experienced users to keep as a ready referencer & guide right next to their system while rendering. Now there's no need to fiddle around with/test what a particular change to a particular setting will result in & waste valuable time. A definite buy this...

(*). BrianKitts - It's frigging huge! I'm definitely impressed, I could have used this book a couple of years ago! I really like how it gives a ton of rendered images with various settings for every option in the engine, saves A LOT of time to test render and figure out which direction you need to be going.... being able to see how one button changed 10 different ways looks right away is great. I might have expected showing only 2 or 3 variations.... well done. great resource, I already informed that company librarian that this one will be permanently residing on my desk and anyone who wants can check it out from me!!

I'm very happy to show you the very, first copies of the VRay - THE COMPLETE GUIDE English version. This is the fresh and bound printed version the I brought with me to the View Festival in Turin. Also the print step is finished. The boind and packaging stage is in WIP. More photo here.

In Sardinia will be the first Italian course dedicated to VRay. VRay - THE COMPLETE GUIDE will be the basic book for students. I participate as an external. Classes will be held by the teacher Gianni Mielis. The courses will be held at the beginning of 2009. For more info click this LINK.

The english translation of the book is almost finished. 95% is done and layout. There are still some production and commercial question to solve. It is assumed therefore that its sales will begin in October. In the meantime, i put online the summary and one free sample.

This is my last works . It's a modern kitchen. As usual, 3ds max + VRay + PS for color correction. The project is very simply, but the goal is the photorealism. All final images are render at 6000x3000 px. More detailed images in FULL RESOLUTION and FULL HD inside. LINK

I'm very happy to show you my last work LINK. It's an interior rendering in daylight, evening and night version. Rendering, obviously, in VRay and modeling in 3ds max. The tecnique what i used is Brute force+LC. Final resolution is 4000x3000 pixel.

Vlado, uno dei leader della Chaosgruop, famosa software-house bulgara che ha dato la luce ad uno dei più famosi motori di rendering al mondo, tra le sue risposte nel forum, rilascia un'interessante notizia per quel che riguarda VRay for XSI:

TRADUZIONE: Abbiamo a disposizione una prima versione alpha di VRay per XSI e l'abbiamo data ad alcune persone per i test preliminari. Speriamo con questo di avere presto una versione beta pubblica da distribuire.

Vlado ha pubblicato un frame generato da una animazione formata da ben 1.000 personaggi animati, comprensiva di motion blur, per un numero totale di 27.000.0000 di triangoli!!!Il tutto è stato possibile grazie ai nuovi proxy, che saranno introdotti nella nuova release. In questo modo sarà possibile inserire direttamente nei proxy non solo dati geometrici statici, ma persino intere animazioni.

Svelata una features nascosta di VRay, l' history . Si tratta di un tool integrato all'interno del VFB (VRay Frame Buffer) che permette di salvare i rendering in un'interfaccia ordinata, con la quale poter richiamare le immagini molto velocemente, per poterle inoltre confrontare. Ho realizzato un breve tutorial su come attivarla ed utilizzarla.

Olly Radford sulla scia dello storico script di Metin7's chiamato Automator, ha realizato ed aggiornato alla v1.04 il suo script Material Control Script, grazie al quale è possibile modificare a livello globale molte della caratteristiche dei materiali di VRay. Con una interfaccia molto compatta sarà possibile acceredere a tutti i valori dei vari VRayMtl, VRayLightMtl ecc... senza dove avviare il materiale editor, con notevole risparmi di tempo. L'aggiornamento permette il supporto al VRayMtl quando inserito all'interno del VRayOverrideMtl.

Chris Wilson è l'autore del film, indipendente, Nerm, from The Chronicles of Nerm . Dopo uno svipluppo durato più di 3 anni, è in fase di conclusione quest ospettacolare film. Nella gallery si possono gustare bellissime immagini, tratte dall'omonimo film, renderizzato completamente con VRay . E' inoltre possibile ammirare il piccolo corto relizzato sempre dallo stesso autore, pirma di intraprendere questo ambizioso progetto.
